Isopon Fastglas Resin is a high-performance polyester repair resin designed for strong, permanent reinforcement of damaged surfaces. Engineered for use with fibreglass matting, this professional-quality formula restores structural strength to metal, wood, concrete, and most rigid materials, making it ideal for automotive body repairs, marine maintenance, construction work, and general DIY restoration. Its advanced bonding properties ensure excellent adhesion and durability, producing a rigid, waterproof finish that resists weathering, vibration, and impact.
This fast-curing resin is supplied with an activator hardener and is formulated for easy mixing and smooth application. Once combined, it penetrates fibreglass matting efficiently, creating a reinforced composite layer that hardens rapidly and can be sanded, filled, or painted for a seamless repair. The quick set time allows users to complete projects efficiently while maintaining professional results.
Coverage
Coverage depends on application thickness and the number of fibreglass layers used. As a general guide, approximately 1 litre of mixed resin can cover up to 0.5–0.75 m² when used with standard fibreglass matting. Heavier reinforcement or multiple layers will reduce coverage.
Drying & Curing Time
At normal working temperatures (around 20 °C), the mixed resin has a working time of approximately 5–10 minutes before it begins to gel. Initial curing occurs within 20–30 minutes, after which the surface can typically be sanded or further worked. Full cure strength is achieved after several hours, depending on temperature and hardener ratio.

Application Guidance
For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from grease, rust, or loose material before application. Mix the resin with approximately 2% hardener by volume and apply immediately. Use in a well-ventilated area and follow all safety instructions provided on the packaging.
