Osmo UV-Protection Oil is a high-performance, exterior wood finish designed to protect timber surfaces from weathering, greying, and harmful UV damage. Formulated with natural plant oils and waxes, this microporous oil finish penetrates deeply into the wood, providing long-lasting protection while allowing the timber to breathe. It is ideal for maintaining the natural beauty of exterior wood without cracking, flaking, peeling, or blistering.
Specifically developed for outdoor use, Osmo UV Protection Oil slows down the natural greying process caused by sunlight. The UV Protection version contains active UV filters that significantly extend maintenance intervals compared to untreated timber. It is suitable for use on cladding, doors, windows, garden furniture, pergolas, balconies, sheds, fences, and other vertical wooden surfaces.

Coverage

Approximate coverage: 18 m² per litre per coat on smooth wood
Coverage may vary depending on wood type, surface texture, and porosity. Rough or sawn timber will require more product.
Drying Time

Touch dry: Approximately 12 hours

Drying times may extend in cool, damp, or poorly ventilated environments.
Application
Apply thinly and evenly with a brush, roller, or cloth along the wood grain. For best results, apply two coats to bare timber. Maintenance coats can be applied without sanding after cleaning the surface.
